The Bandits Golden Spear is a 10-minute experimental opera piece. One table, two chairs, live percussion and traditional music as the background; The piece features footwork in traditional opera performance invigorated with introduction of dance movement and theatrical interpretation in order to keep the presentation more relatable to life, resulting in spiritual resonance among the audience.

The dynamic performance focuses on the fascinating relationship and emotion that could develop between human beings and physical objects. In the midst of rapid urban development, people are still able to retain fundamental feelings in humanity; Similarly, in modernising Chinese opera, its traditional characteristics could be preserved while accommodating modern thinking and pace. Hopefully, people are taking significant steps in the right direction for Chinese opera and the humanities.
