KO Yun-hung
Ko Yun-hung is a third-generation Cantonese Opera artist, the youngest son of Cantonese Opera percussion master Ko Kun and the apprentice of famous xiao master Liu Sum. Ko is now a musician proficient in various Chinese musical instruments and music theory.
Ko became percussion leader at the young age of fourteen, and was later promoted as ensemble leader. He is currently Director of The Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong, Deputy Managing Director of Hong Kong Po Fook Tong Cantonese Opera Musicians’ Association and Deputy Chairman of Cantonese Opera Musicians and Vocalist Association. He is also the co-founder of Hong Kong Xiqu Association, Hong Kong Xiqu Troupe and Grand Xiqu.
