Established by veteran theatre practitioners including Janice Poon (Artistic Director) and Indy Lee as a haven for theatre artists to explore new ideas and form a new artistic voice that would represent the times

Poon was awarded the Asian Cultural Council Lee Hysan Foundation fellowship to pursue research on dramaturgy and new play development in the United States (2010-11). Her work And then I float won four awards at the Hong Kong Theatre Libre 2014. Lee received his Master’s degree in Applied Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2004)

Strives to create new scripts and forms of theatre representative of local culture. Driven by passion to tell the stories of Hong Kong and Chinese communities at large, and to bridge the gap among humanity in all corners of the world

In a Breath

One decision and it could change your life, but then it may not be yours to make. An old man is on his death bed. His closest family members who are staying by his side and the doctors who are doing their utmost to revive him are faced with the predicament of making an irrevocable decision. The family members decide to hold a family meeting to discuss what they should do. Discussion leads to long-hidden history and purgation within the family. The dying man is left alone, caught in a dilemma, but his whimper is drowned by the quarreling din.

In a Breath is a meditative theatre written and directed by Janice Poon with performers including Lam Chun-ho, Hanks Li, Santayana Li and Tam Yuk-ting.
