CHEUNG Wai-ching, Rachel

Received Master of Music Degree from the Yale School of Music, where she was awarded the Elizabeth Parisot Prize for outstanding pianists in 2011/12

Prizes and awards from international competitions including the 16th Leeds International Pianoforte Competition (2009) and the 67th Geneva International Piano Competition (2012). Finalist and winner of the Audience Prize at the 2017 Van Cliburn Piano Competition

Recipient of scholarships including the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund Scholarship. Received the Award for Young Artist, Hong Kong Arts Development Awards (2009)

As soloist and chamber musician, worldwide collaborations included the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra with Edo de Waart, the Hallé Orchestra with Sir Mark Elder and the Sydney Symphony under the baton of Vladimir Ashkenazy, and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra with Nicholas McGegan and Leonard Slatkin
