SING SANG SUNG
SING SANG SUNG is an allegorical choral theatre work combining music, dance and theatrical elements. Loosely based on Du Yuesheng, China’s most notorious gangster, the show elicits the reflections: regardless of how glorious one’s life may be, is it difficult to escape from regrets when approaching the end of life? Would it be too late to make amends? Could values be passed forward to future generations in the ever-evolving world? This spectacular a cappella piece features the zestful sounds of harmony and searing scenes on fame, fortune and power. They are complemented by the unique sound of sheng the Chinese instrument and rhythmic tap dancing. The exceptional creativity of this stage work is highlighted by the impeccable harmony of the talented artists.
