Graduated from the School of Dance in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Ballet and Modern Dance). Former member of the Hong Kong Ballet, Tanz Graz (Austria), and Ballett Bremerhaven (Germany)

Independent dancer and choreographer. Established Neo Dance HK with Wong Tan-ki (2010). Recent performances at Singapore M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival, Malaysia d’ MOTION International Dance Festival, Guangdong Dance Festival and Beijing Dance Festival

Choreographies include The Trouble-maker’s Concerto, Galatea X, What’s the Matter? (Hong Kong Arts Festival 2013), The 3.5th Dimension (City Contemporary Dance Company, 2012), Galatea & Pygmalion (Hong Kong Dance Festival 2010 and 2013)

Received the 2014 Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography and Outstanding Performance by a Female Dancer for Galatea X, and 2011 Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Independent Dance for Galatea and Pygmalion

Galatea X

Each cut or strike of the sculptor influences the countenance of a sculpture. Extending the metaphor to dance, each movement crafted by the choreographer provides nuanced changes to the style of the dance. An intricate dance piece about sculptor and sculpture, Galatea X is an invaluable inspiration on discovering and embracing imperfections, drawing parallels between sculptors and choreographers.

Breathing life into his statue, the sculptor is at once being shaped by his own creation. Such intriguing transformation is irreversible, so is the metamorphosis of this dance work.
