Non-profit theatre company set up in 2008 to engage in drama education, theatre productions, research and development of the local theatre, exchange and publications
Hardy Tsoi, famous local theatre veteran and founder of the company, introduced the first community theatre movement to Shatin, a district in Hong Kong, in the mid-80s. Copenhagen, translated and directed by Tsoi, won five awards out of 11 nominations at the Hong Kong Drama Awards and Hong Kong Theatre Libre in 2011 including three acting awards and Top Ten Most Popular Productions
Through quality stage productions of world classics as well as those about local issues for appreciation by the students and residents of the North District, local cultural life has been enhanced
The Confessions of an Actor
In the past ten years, veteran actor To Sze-chung has portrayed six most extraordinary characters by splendidly taking on the roles of Biff Loman in Death of A Salesman, Sir Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons, Hamlet in Hamlet, Cassius in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, Oedipus in Oedipus the King and notably Werner Heisenberg in Copenhagen, a role which won him double acting awards at the Hong Kong Drama Awards and Hong Kong Theatre Libre in 2011. In this one-man show, he will share with the audience his experiences in playing these memorable characters and how he was inspired by the dramatic gurus.
