Prokofiev’s fifth symphony and Beethoven’s violin concerto

Filmed at the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert in Vienna’s Musikverein, arguably the most famous concert hall in Europe during the orchestra’s European tour in February 2015, it features the Orchestra’s performance of Prokofiev’s fifth symphony and with Chinese violinist Ning Feng performing Beethoven’s violin concerto, both under the baton of music director Jaap van Zweden.

As part of a European tour of six cities also including London, Zurich, Eindhoven, Birmingham and Berlin, Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducted this concert which was very well received by audiences in Vienna – Tickets were of such high demand that standing “seats” were being sold.
