SOUND-IMAGination: Hong Kong Postcards

Held in December 2014, SOUND-IMAGination: Hong Kong Postcards is the third production in the SOUND-IMAGination Multimedia Concert Series.  Themed on Hong Kong, the piece was conceived by commissioning 30 local composers to each compose a one-minute piece and to choose a photograph related to the city to be shown on big screen. The combination of music and still image enriched the imagination and insight of both mediums, while bringing new perspectives to the audience on appreciating music and ways to imagine Hong Kong. The well-received concert was performed by four musicians (flute/piccolo, viola, cello and piano) from the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble.
