A Beautiful Day
A Beautiful Day (adaptation by Victor Pang, music by Cynthia Wong, lyrics by Chris Shum) is a Cantonese musical loosely based on the renowned play Our Town by Thornton Wilder. Set in the 1950s, Emily was an ordinary girl who lived at “Big River Village”, a fictional Hong Kong town, from her birth to marriage to death. Hard to let go of her past life after she passed away, Emily wanted to go back to the day she fell in love with George, the love of her life. A time travel journey brought Emily back to one ordinary day of her life. She then realised that any ordinary day could be remarkable enough as the most beautiful day of her life.
