CHUI Wai-yin Peco

A student of renowned pianist Nancy Loo, Peco started learning the piano at the age of 12 with years of classical music training. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with Advanced Diploma in classical piano. He then pursued Licentiate in solo piano performance at the Trinity College London.

He is one of the few professional singer-song writers in Hong Kong who not only demonstrates a strong passion in music, but also possesses a high musical talent. In the past few years, he had written songs for well-known artists including Eason Chan, Chow Pak Ho, Miriam Yeung, Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng, Kay Tse and Denise Ho etc.

Apart from his repertoire in the music scene, Peco has been invited to be music composer, director and actor in numerous musicals. In 2016, the song he wrote for the musical Love To Forget by Class 7A Drama Group received the award for Best Music and Lyric in the 25th Hong Kong Drama Awards. He also participated in the composition of the musical Martin Luther, which was nominated for Best Music and Lyric in the 27th Hong Kong Drama Awards.

In recent years, Peco began his foray into painting and staged his first solo exhibition, sharing his artistic talents through creations of various forms.
